I'm heading down to Austin, TX for a dear friend's wedding this weekend. I'm super jazzed to see old friends that I haven't talked to in at least 5 or 6 years. (I'm also excited for some warm weather - it's currently snowing big ole' snowflakes!)
Last week (or maybe the week before), we drove out to Yellowstone Lake through Hayden Valley. We didn't see much in terms of wildlife - a few bison, a couple coyotes and an eagle. At one point, we were so distracted with a bison on a hillside that we didn't notice the coyote crossing the road right in front of us. It's amazing how much we can miss if we stop scanning for possibilities.
Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Easter!
During our break this spring, we spent time visiting and enjoying our families. It's always nice to remember those times when we are no where near those whom we love and love us unconditionally, especially on holidays. Here are a few photos from when we visited Graham's sister and kids.
Enjoy this day of brightly colored eggs and big family dinners!

Back Home.
Big Horn Sheep Youngsters. |
Mama Bison and not-even-day-old Red Dog. |
On our way (out and back), we passed through a couple of valleys that were laden with wildlife. Up on the hill there were Elk and down in the valley was a scattering of Pronghorn, Bison (including one red dog i.e. baby bison) and Big Horn Sheep. On our way out, the Big Horn Sheep youngsters (about a year old) came incredibly close and were playfully head-butting each other. Early practice for when they are fighting to be the dominate male.

I am hoping to be better - starting now I want to start posting twice a week (with the only exceptions being when the internet is non-existent, which I'm sure will happen when living out in the middle of nowhere). Have a great weekend everyone!
